Speaker Test
Play a tone on each channel to check your stereo setup, then run the frequency sweep to test your full hearing range.
Start at a low volume — especially with headphones. The sweep begins with deep bass that can be surprisingly loud on some systems.
What this test checks
The left/right tone test catches swapped or dead stereo channels. If the "Left" tone comes out of your right speaker, your cables or balance settings are reversed; if one side is silent, check the plug, the balance slider, and the speaker itself in that order.
The frequency sweep plays every pitch from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Most adults stop hearing somewhere between 12–17 kHz — that's normal hearing, not a speaker fault. But if the sound cuts out, crackles, or buzzes in the middle of the sweep, that points to a damaged driver or loose connection.
