RigCheckup

About RigCheckup

RigCheckup is a free suite of browser-based hardware tests: keyboard, mouse, microphone, webcam, speakers, monitor, and gamepad — all in one place, with no installation.

Why this site exists

When a device misbehaves, the first question is always the same: is it broken, or is it a setting? Answering that used to mean downloading diagnostic apps or juggling five single-purpose websites. RigCheckup puts every common check in one place, so you can go from "my mic isn't working" to a concrete answer in under a minute.

Every tool is paired with a plain-language guide that explains what the result means and what to do next — whether that's a settings fix, a cable swap, or a warranty claim before the return window closes.

Privacy first

All tests run entirely inside your browser using standard web APIs. Your microphone audio, camera video, and keystrokes are processed on your device and never recorded, stored, or uploaded. That's not a promise buried in legal text — it's how the site is built: there is no server that could receive your data.

Who runs this

RigCheckup is built and maintained by an independent software developer who spent too many evenings diagnosing family members' "broken" headsets that turned out to be a muted slider.
